Its been very long time that i am back to writing technical stuff....
Just some days back one of my friend enquired that he heard that blogger allows to use premium templates and make the look of the blogger as a pure website.
Well its easier said than done, but with few tweaks you can do it, Here's how it is done.
Follow these steps and make your blogger look like a website.
Step 1
Go to www.google.com and enter free premium blogger templates in google search and check the 3rd Link i.e. http://www.lovelytemplates.com/blogger-templates
here you can find many free templates for your blog....
Step 2
Now choose any select template you want and hover mouse on it and you will see option of Viewing the demo or to check any detail and a link to download the template.
Step 3
Once you click on download link a zip file will be downloaded.. Extract the files to a folder, Once you extract the files you will see 3 files in the folder. 2 will be text files and 1 is xml file.

Now log into your blog by signing in to www.blogger.com and locate your blog if you have more than one blog associated to your ID.
Over here i am gonna change the template for the blog that i have highlighted.
Step 5
Click on the blog and click on template option in the left side bar and once you are on the template section, on the right hand side there is an button backup / restore. Click on it.
Step 6
Once you click on Backup / Restore you will get a pop-up window which will ask you to download the full template. Since we are going to make changes it is better to take a back up of the current template so that if anything goes wring we can revert it to back to the original template.
Step 7
Once the file is downloaded save it your drive and on the same window there is an option Upload a template from a file on your hard drive.
So Click on Choose File option and browse to the folder where you have stored the downloaded template from http://www.lovelytemplates.com/blogger-templates
Select the XML file from the 3 files and upload it. Once it is uploaded you will see the changes and then you can edit HTML to nake changes to the look and feel
You just need basic html concepts to make changes, add links and you can also change layout using the layout option from the layout option in the left sidebar.
To edit different section there is drop down Jump to widget..
What ever templates you use are converted to widgets automatically in blogger. For eg. To make changes to the menu, just jump to header1 and make changes to html.
Check the changes on your blog.

- License File : Which contains License Information
- Documentation file : Contains information how to use the template
